My background is eclectic. It’s given me tremendous exposure to people and life situations from around the globe. I’ve lived and worked in Paris, Moscow, New York City, Florida and now New Jersey. While English is my native language, I am fluent in Russian and French.
I’ve worked in international trade, (here in the US and overseas), Foreign Language Instruction, Desktop Publishing, Textbook Publishing, Business Communications, and a Utility. I have over 25 years of managerial experience prompting me to develop my writing, creative and technical talents for business communications, presentations, and training.
When I began writing in the 7th grade, my teacher told me one thing I’ve always remembered. Write about what you know. Oncology consumed my life for over 15 years as the primary caretaker for my husband and his cancer. I learned more than I ever wanted to know. Because of this experience I am passionate about helping patients with their illnesses.
My other area of expertise is Eldercare. My Mom is now 96 and I have been her caregiver for the past 6 years. This affects so many of us. I have navigated many difficult roads and gained invaluable information and knowledge in this area that I share.
For the past 11 years I worked for a utility in Information Management as a manager writing and developing project management procedures, building SharePoint sites for managing project documentation, developing standards and presentations and doing quite a bit of training.
I’m a serious writer covering serious topics.
